Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and a resident of New York City in 2013 in the film, played Lorna Mello as the prisoner In Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone attended NIDA. Yael despite her youthful years, has had the opportunity to learn from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael's professional career is thriving throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new place of residence with the city of New York City when the production premiered to acclaim at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael has co-founded The Cannery. It is located in The Cannery, a Bushwick Brooklyn studio They encourage new, creative writings and encourage innovative concepts.
