Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress most commonly known for her part as Bo in the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay, the producer and director of drama of drama and production at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Her father, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching television and attending rehearsals for performances. Silk appeared in several commercials when she was a kid. The Bachelor in Arts was awarded by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to pursue her acting career in the month of November 1999. She then, over the next decade, she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she met during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors Workshop. In December 2009 they married after a civil wedding ceremony. The couple was married on April 10, 2011. renewed their vows in a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born in May 2013and had a son who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's television work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 Silk was a part of the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the production of the season three finale and announced this to viewers on Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk, who has been working on Lost Girl since the final season episode premiered on January 6, 2013, announced on Twitter her readiness to return on the 4th of June 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production of the fourth. Her portrayal of Bo together with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple of the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to an enormous online following through social media.
